Artist Paul Vivian has created work in response to the notion of the consumption and discarding of ideas as a central theme of the work. The work focuses on exaggerating the dimensions of the ordinary through the associative power of objects, their pareidolia-like readings as an analysis of the unexpected. ‘History Buffet Aftermath’ consists of a hundred crafted fragments of food, cast in plaster and repainted, located throughout the space alongside assemblage works, each object as a stand-in for historical events or significant moments in time.
(A Private View will be held on the 25th May, 6 - 8pm)
