Hugh Stant & Tam Dibley present New Func, a series of events exploring new ways of being. Through participatory performances, they experiment with the actions necessary to life; questioning how we live and how we feel alive.
A participatory performance, ‘Snooker Mowf’ explores the overwhelming disjuncture between meaning and taste. Formed in response to a group ‘book club’ with texts on food and eating, the performance has been generated from the collaborative ideas formed in the session.
New Func’s eating events aim to challenge perceptions about food by questioning how and why we consume in certain ways, and aims to find ways in which we can be in closer connection to the food we eat; become the food, dance in and around it – connecting through the food to ourselves, others, and our environment.
